The world could use a few more Teamsters like Karen Berry.

If you’ve been to a union meeting, chances are you’ve witnessed Karen address the Executive Board with concerns or discuss contractual language with other members. This spring, she ran in the local’s delegate election. She’s definitely a dedicated Teamster, but Karen has wholly committed herself to serving the community outside of work as well through her involvement with the Patriot Guard, Special Olympics, and her family.

In order to accurately profile the accomplishments of Sister Berry, I’d need to spend the next year uploading photos and inserting text. Suffice it to say, Karen is a compassionate civilian whose weekly activities are enough to inspire those of us who could stand to brush up on our volunteer efforts.
